The Confessions
The Book of Concord. This is the definitive resource on what Lutherans believe. It includes the three ecumenical creeds (the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds), Martin Luther’s Small and Large Catechisms, the Lutheran Confessions of faith (Augsburg, Smalcald Articles, Formula of Concord, Treatise on the Primacy of the Pope), and the defenses of those Confessions (the apology of the Augsburg Confession and the Thorough Declaration of the Formula of Concord)
