Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church
Zion is a confessional Lutheran church located at 135 West Green Street in the heart of historic Marshall, Michigan.
Since 1856, we have welcomed all people into the fellowship of God's grace to receive the forgiveness of sins through the merits of Jesus Christ. The proclamation of the Gospel of Christ Crucified for sinners and the administration of the Sacraments are the central focus of our worship. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, these means of grace nurture our faith and give us the strength to meet life's joys and sorrows with confidence, assured of God's love and mercy in Christ. As the redeemed people of God and members of the Body of Christ, we extend His love to our neighbors through acts of charity and service and through our individual vocations.
We invite you to join us as we grow together in the grace and knowledge of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Zion is a member congregation of the American Association of Lutheran Churches.

Tuesday morning Bible Studies are on hold until August. Date to be announced.
Our next Community Dinner is Tuesday September 15th, 4:45pm to 6:30pm.
Save the Date Jordan Cooper of "Just and Sinner" will preach Sunday September 13, 2026 and give a presentation afterwards followed by a potluck.
Ongoing Happenings
Bible Studies We have two weekly Bible Studies.
Most Tuesday mornings at 9 am. If the schools are closed because of weather, we don't meet. We are currently studying The Miracles of Jesus. We will resume in August.
Sunday mornings after fellowship time around 11 am.
Community Dinners -- Everyone welcome! Come join us for a free meal and fellowship. Dinners are held the third Tuesday of each month at 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm from September - November and January – May.
Zion Family Fun Night We hold Family Fun Night the 2nd Friday of the month from 6:00-8:30pm. All are welcome to attend. You are encouraged to bring food to share and a game to play. We would love to hear your ideas for fun. We will be holding family fun night the following dates for 2026.
Feb 13 (Chili cook off), March 13 (Trivia night), April 10 (Euchre night), May 8 (Scattergories), June 12 (Chronology), July 10, Aug 14, Sept 11, Oct 9, and Nov 13. See Susan M with ideas for future themes.
A handicapped-accessible entrance is located via a ramp from the parking lot behind the church. If you have mobility problems and need assistance, please contact the church office and we will have someone to help you get from your car into the church.
