Zion is a confessional Lutheran church located at 135 West Green Street in the heart of historic Marshall, Michigan.
Since 1847, we have welcomed all people into the fellowship of God's grace to receive the forgiveness of sins through the merits of Jesus Christ. The proclamation of the Gospel of Christ Crucified for sinners and the administration of the Sacraments are the central focus of our worship. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, these means of grace nurture our faith and give us the strength to meet life's joys and sorrows with confidence, assured of God's love and mercy in Christ. As the redeemed people of God and members of the Body of Christ, we extend His love to our neighbors through acts of charity and service and through our individual vocations.
We invite you to join us as we grow together in the grace and knowledge of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Special Prayer Service
In light of the violence our nation has seen in recent times and the great amount of grief borne in the hearts of so many, we will be holding a prayer service on Wednesday, September 17, at 6:30 PM. Please invite anyone you know who might benefit from this opportunity to gather with others who are struggling, that we might commend our prayers into the nail-pierced hands of our God.

New member reception after church on Sunday the 7th
Community dinners start up again Tuesday the 16th
Sunday October 5 Life Chain from 2-3pm. Zion will meet in front of Marshall's Town Hall across from the circle. We will have donuts and cider there for after.
Sunday October 12 Potluck and Presentation
Please plan to attend a potluck following church and a presentation by the Rev. Dr. Robert Bennett, Executive Director of Luther Academy in Fort Wayne. Dr. Bennett will discuss his book Afraid: Demon Possession and Spiritual Warfare in America.
Community Dinners -- Everyone welcome! Come join us for a free meal and fellowship. Dinners are held the third Tuesday of each month at 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm from September - November and January – May.
Zion Fun Night -- First Friday of every month starting at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to join in fellowship, food and games.
A handicapped-accessible entrance is located via a ramp from the parking lot behind the church. If you have mobility problems and need assistance, please contact the church office and we will have someone to help you get from your car into the church.
